Welcome! I'm Maryann
For as long as I can remember, I have always had an interest in alternative healing modalities and the body’s natural ability to restore balance. This curiosity led me to explore and training in a variety of disciplines, including kinesiology, biochemic therapy, reiki, aromatherapy, and iridology – each one deepening my understanding of holistic health.
Before stepping fully into this path, I spent many years working in Human Resources in the corporate world. Over time, I realised that I was not living my true purpose of “helping others to help themselves.” Trusting that inner knowing, I chose to step away from corporate life and create my own practice—CHOICES HOLISTIC HEALING —where I could support others in a more meaningful and aligned way.
My journey with Kinesiology began in 2006 when I experienced it as a client. I was deeply impressed by the shifts it facilitated, which inspired me to study and qualify in this modality. Today, I work with both adults and children, supporting a wide range of concerns including anxiety, fatigue, learning difficulties, physical dis-ease, and emotional stress.
I believe that the body holds its own innate wisdom. Through a holistic and intuitive approach, I gently facilitate and guide clients to listen to and understand the messages their body is communicating. Each session is held in a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where you are met exactly as you are and empowered to make choices that support your health and well-being.
CHOICES HOLISTIC HEALING is based in Kloof in the Upper Highway area of Durban where I work from my home practice. Consultations can be done in person or on-line via Zoom / MS Teams, offering flexibility and accessibility no matter where you are.
If you feel ready to reconnect with your body and take a step toward greater balance and well-being, I would be honoured to support you.
I am a member of the Association of Specialised Kinesiologist of South Africa (ASKSA), the African National Healers Association (ANHA), and the South African Traditional and Holistic Wellness Association (SATAHWA)
